A 15 old RLS College student has become the first big winner of Digicel’s Gimme 5 Cash promotion when she won $5000 on Saturday night. A total of $5000 cash is allocated every week for 5 winners but $4000 from the previous week was added to the first winner’s cash prize taking the total to $5000 cash.

“Congratulations to Emma for winning and I hope this $5000 will give you and your family the best Christmas ever,” said Pepe Christian Fruean CEO of Digicel Samoa.

Emma-Rosann Matuu lives with her parents and 5 siblings at Siusega and has been a Digicel customer since 2007.

“This is the first time I’ve won something from Digicel and my phone has been busy with congratulatory messages from my friends and family since Saturday night,” said Emma.

When asked about what she will spend her cash prize on she responded that she is going Christmas shopping straight away for the family. “I can now afford to buy everyone a present and probably put something aside for school next year to help mum and dad” added Emma.

Four other customers missed out on the opportunity to win 1 X 4 $1000 cash prizes and $4000 will now be added to this Saturday’s first winner increasing the first prize to $5000.

“We advise customers who qualify to watch TV1 on Saturday at 8pm so we are hoping to give out the $9000 all out this Saturday,” said Pepe after presenting Emma her cash prize.
