In what has come as a surprise – there was more buried treasure out there than Digicel first thought.

In fact – there was so much treasure to be discovered that the telco is happy to announce not one but two first place winners in their Pirates of the Pacific SMS game.

Thanks to all that treasure joint winners Filipo Tuatagaloa from Tamaligi and Nikki Chan Chui from Ululoloa are now $2,000 richer.

Third place winner, Pat Leota from Nuu, was rewarded with $1,000.

The month-long game saw Digicel’s loyal customers compete with each other to find pirate treasure via text messaging to gain points.

Each of the first place winners earned more than 9,000,000 points to claim the ultimate prize.

“I cannot believe I won,” says Filipo

“Just by simply playing a simple texting game.

“Seki a Digicel!”

Fellow winner Nikki says he is so happy that he uses Digicel for all his telecommunication needs.

“This is why I am with Digicel – because they give so much back to their customers,” he says.

“Thank you so much Digicel!”

Digicel’s Special Projects Manager Li’o Waikato Fatu congratulates all the major prizewinners.

“Here at Digicel we love to give back to the community,” he says.

“And Pirates of the Pacific is just another example of how we reward our loyal customers.

“So I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate not only the major prize winners but everyone who played the game and won!”

Li’o says in continuation of this excitement Digicel will run Guess the Opposite Word SMS game.

“The game will begin tomorrow and run for three weeks,” says Li’o.

“To play simply text ‘JOIN’ to 3456 and be in the running to win lots of great prizes.”
